It already makes a few 572 crate engines the most powerful of which produces 727 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque but this particular motor has been choked down to 430 horsepower to fit. And the supercharged 350-cubic-inch LSX-based engine making 580 horsepower. Such a powerplant will be used for the first time on a modern COPO Camaro.
A blown 57 rated at 580 hp and a naturally aspirated 70-liter rated at 470 hp. The 94-liter V-8 is rated at 430 hp by the NHRA making it the least powerful engine option for the 2022 COPO Camaro. It is believed that only 822 were built with 4-speeds plus another 193 with automatic transmissions.
The most common of these was COPO 9561 which put the 427 cubic inch 425 horsepower Mark IV big block V-8 into the Camaro where the biggest RPO engine was the L89 396375hp aluminum head big block. A naturally aspirated 427-cubic-inch engine rated at 470 horsepower. COPO 9561 was sparingly used.
